Summer Closing Dates:
All residence halls will close for summer on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 2 p.m. All students must vacate their rooms by this time.
Please check the Campus Dining website to see when the dining centers will be closing for the summer.
CLOSING TO - DO LIST ( please make sure all the below items are completed so you will not receive additional charges)
When discarding large and/or heavy objects, such as carpet or personal furniture, please take them outside your building to the dumpster or recycling area. Recycled items will benefit the local community. Do not leave them in the trash rooms or put them down the trash chute (you will risk injury to personnel). If you leave them behind, you or your floor will be charged a removal fee.
YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS TO CONSIDER TO PROPERLY CHECK OUT OF YOUR RESIDENCE HALL ROOM:
To complete the scheduled check out with their Resident Assistant, the resident must sign up at least 24 hours in advance on the time sheet typically posted outside their RA room door. There will be designated times that the resident can sign up for during the week of finals through 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 10. The RA will come to the room at the scheduled time and do a thorough check of the room in the presence of the resident, collect room/suite keys, and note any damages on their Room Condition Report at that time. If there are any damages, a bill will be sent to the resident at a later date. Failure to make an appointment and requesting an in person check out or failure to check out properly will result in a $25.00 improper check out fee.
To complete the express check out option, the resident will need to get the express check out envelope from the front desk, complete the front of the envelope, checklist form, and place their keys inside the envelope, seal the envelope, and place the envelope in the express check out box also located at the front desk of their building. Express check out can be used at anytime, no appointment is necessary. The room will be checked by a Resident Assistant after the room is completely empty. This option does not allow you to appeal any billed charges.
