The procedure for signing up for your room and meal differs based on your current status as a student.
New students who graduated from high school in or after December 2006 are sent housing application-contract packets. These students are automatically sent a housing application-contract packet. They should sign and return the application-contract and deposit to secure a space. New students are either assigned by our office or select their own room through the online room selection program depending on when we receive their application-contract.
New students who graduated from high school before December 2006 are considered Uppler Level students (even if their ISU classification is "freshman" or "sophomore") and are not automatically sent housing application-contract packets. These students may submit an online application to express their interest in living in the residence halls next year. These applications will be held throughout the summer and contracts will be offered to students depending on space availability. The online application form will be available beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, March 17. We expect to have fewer than 300 spaces for upper level students for 2008-2009.
Current residence hall students who graduated from high school in or after December 2006 may go through our online contract renewal process.
Current residence hall students who graduated from high school before December 2006 are considered Upper Level students (even if their ISU classification is "freshman" or "sophomore") and cannot go through contract renewal. These students may submit an online application to express their interest in living in the residence halls next year. The online applications will be held throughout the summer and contracts will be offered to students depending on space availability. The online application form will be available beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, March 17. We expect to have fewer than 300 spaces for upper level students for 2008-2009.
Note: University admission and enrollment do not guarantee the availability of on-campus housing. Furthermore, a student must be registered at the University and must be at least 17 years of age at the time of commencement of his/her residence hall occupancy. Requests for exceptions to the minimum age requirement may be submitted to University Housing Services for review by the Director. University Housing Services reserves the right to deny or cancel a residence hall application-contract to students whose past behavior and/or criminal record indicates a possible risk to the safety, health, or life of any person, and/or to the safety of public or private property, and/or disruption to the residence hall community or living-learning environment.
